Working from home has its perks — like getting to spend more time with your four-legged companion. But when it comes to maintaining a healthy work/puppy balance, setting boundaries is essential. Here are some tips on how to keep your furry friend entertained while you get the job done!

Create a "Paw-sible" Schedule: Just like humans, dogs need routine. Establishing a daily schedule will help your pup understand when it’s time to play and when they should settle down. This could include taking them out for a walk or playing fetch in the morning, and then providing them with chew toys or snuggle time in the afternoon. For puppies in particular, having an established schedule can be helpful for house training as well as behavioral training.

Keep ‘Em Busy: When you’re not around, you don’t want your pup getting into mischief (or worse, chewing up the furniture). To keep them occupied, try investing in interactive puzzle toys that require problem-solving skills — these can provide hours of entertainment while also stimulating their brains. In addition, adding new items to their toy chest every once in awhile can help keep their interest piqued!

Fur-tunately Take Breaks: Make sure you take regular breaks throughout the day so that you can give your pup the attention they deserve — whether that means taking them for a quick stroll outside or just giving them some love and affection. Not only will this help build a stronger bond between the two of you, but it will also remind your furry friend that even if you’re at home all day working, they still get plenty of love and attention from their pawrent!

Working from home with your pup doesn't have to be stressful — as long as you remember to establish clear boundaries that work for both of you. Be consistent with setting expectations and enforcing rules so that both of you know what is expected during office hours. By following these tips and creating an environment where both of you can thrive, there's no doubt that working from home will become much more enjoyable - fur everyone involved!
